Prohibited Businesses

You may not use VenueRun to operate the businesses, or sell the products and services, listed below. This list is part of the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy. It is representative, not complete: anything illegal where it is sold or delivered is prohibited, whether or not it appears here.

Because card payments on VenueRun are processed by Stripe, everything on Stripe's list of restricted businesses is also prohibited, and Stripe may restrict an account independently of VenueRun.

Age-restricted products

Some products are legal but restricted by age and license. Merchants may sell them only where they are licensed to, and must verify age at handover as the law requires:

• Alcohol — only by Merchants licensed to sell it, at the licensed premises, and never to anyone under the legal drinking age.
• Tobacco, vaping and nicotine products — only where the Merchant is licensed and the law permits ordering them this way.

Merchants are responsible for checking identification and may refuse to hand over an order.

Prohibited

Illegal and regulated goods

• Illegal drugs, and substances designed to mimic them
• Drug paraphernalia
• Marijuana and products containing THC, including CBD products with illegal THC levels
• Prescription drugs and pharmaceuticals, and supplements making unsupported or harmful health claims
• Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and their parts
• Toxic, flammable, radioactive or other hazardous materials, and research chemicals
• Stolen goods, counterfeit goods, and products that infringe someone's intellectual property
• Products that are recalled, illegally imported, or unsafe

Adult content and services

• Pornography and other sexually explicit material, including AI-generated material
• Adult services, escort services, and strip clubs and similar venues
• Dating and matchmaking services

Gambling and games of chance

• Gambling, betting, casinos, lotteries, raffles and sweepstakes with a paid entry
• Games of skill with a cash prize, fantasy sports with a prize, and sports betting

Financial and high-risk services

• Money transmission, check cashing, gift card or prepaid card resale, and stored value
• Cryptocurrency, NFTs and other digital assets
• Debt collection, debt relief, credit repair and loan services
• Investment and "get rich quick" schemes, pyramid schemes and multi-level marketing
• Crowdfunding and donations unrelated to a sale of goods or services

Deceptive and unfair practices

• Anything sold with misleading claims, hidden fees or unclear pricing
• Fake references, fake IDs, document forgery, and fake reviews or followers
• Businesses that are unfair, deceptive or predatory toward consumers

Hate, violence and exploitation

• Businesses or content that promote violence or hatred against any person or group
• Anything that exploits or endangers children
• Human trafficking and forced labor

Other

• Services unrelated to an in-person order, such as travel, telemarketing, subscriptions to unrelated services, or remote technical support
• Reselling access to VenueRun, or acting as a payment facilitator for other businesses through it
