Connect Stripe

Customers pay you directly through your own Stripe account. VenueRun never holds your money: Stripe pays out to your bank on your Stripe schedule.

Connect your account

Open Settings → Payments.
Choose Stripe, then Connect. You are taken to Stripe to sign in or create an account, and brought back when you finish.
The status shows Connected once Stripe has approved your account to take charges.

Only Owners and Admins can connect or disconnect Stripe.

If the status shows Incomplete or Action required, Stripe needs more information from you — finish onboarding in Stripe and check back. Until then, customers see "This merchant cannot take card payments yet."

Production and Sandbox

The Payments screen has a Production / Sandbox selector. Sandbox is the Stripe account used by test mode, so you can place test orders with Stripe test cards before going live. Connect both.

In Settings → Taxes & fees you can choose Charge platform fee to customer and Charge processing fee to customer, which add them to the customer's total, and set a Convenience fee.

Disconnecting

Choosing Disconnect Stripe stops card payments immediately: customers can no longer pay for orders until you connect again.
